"Cheers to Charlie" - Deddington Wine Festival 2026 in aid of Katharine House Hospice

This year we’ll be supporting Katharine House Hospice (KHH) – the wonderful local organisation that provides specialist palliative care, free of charge, for adults with an incurable illness. Many of you will have heard of KHH, and some of you may have witnessed first-hand the amazing care and kindness they show towards patients and their loved ones. Charlie himself received care from KHH and his wife Alex cannot speak highly enough of them. What you might not know is that KHH only receives a third of its funding from the NHS and relies on the local community to make up the rest. In short, KHH needs £16,261 per day just to keep doing what it’s doing.

As for the wine, this year we are focussing on wine’s essential ingredient: the grape. Our wine experts will showcase selected wines exemplifying six major grape varietals: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache/Garnacha, Syrah/Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

With Gregg Brown’s delicious finger food to accompany and a wide range of auction prizes to bid for, it’s an evening you won’t want to miss!
