Ros Atkins on Journalism, Truth, and Global Affairs in the Age of AI

Doors at 7.00pm  /  Event 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Join Ros Atkins, BBC News’ Analysis Editor and creator of the acclaimed ‘Ros Atkins on…’ explainer series, for a compelling talk on how artificial intelligence is reshaping journalism and global communication.

Ros will explore how AI is changing the way news is created and consumed, and what is being done to help journalists verify facts in an era of misinformation.

With over two decades of reporting experience Ros is renowned for bringing clarity to complex global issues. His book The Art of Explanation was inspired by his early career realisation that gathering accurate information is only half the job—communicating it clearly is just as vital.

Held in Chelmsford Cathedral beneath Luke Jerram’s evocative “War and Peace” installation, the setting invites reflection on truth, technology, and the realities of human conflict—providing a powerful backdrop to Ros Atkins’ exploration of journalism and AI.

Expect insights into how AI, data, and curiosity are shaping the future of global storytelling.
