BBQ in the Barn

You're invited to our barn BBQ on Saturday 15th August, hosted with The Jolly Allotment. It's a relaxed meal by the sea, and everyone is welcome, whether you're on your own or arriving with the whole crew.

Our guest naturopathic chef, Polly, has designed a live-fire menu that reimagines the classic roast dinner for the height of summer. Completely gluten-free, wholesome feast that celebrates the best of seasonal British produce, all charred, smoked, and roasted over open flames.

Our barn bar will be open, serving local wines and beers.

The menu

• Welcome drink: a refreshing non-alcoholic spritz
• Mains: Fire-roasted organic lemon and thyme chicken (free-range chickens from Beech Ridge Farm), or spiced oyster mushroom kebabs. For the children, we have proper sausages and smoky BBQ beans.
• For the table: Chappa roasted potatoes, fire-roasted seasonal greens, smoky beets, seasonal slaw, house pickles, and wild pesto.
• To finish: Fire-roasted fruit and homemade labneh

How it works

Tables are booked in 90-minute slots starting from 5pm. For those who want a longer dinner, our later bookings from 7pm onwards can keep their tables for the rest of the evening.

We can accommodate groups of up to 12 online, but if your crew is larger, drop us a line and we will try to arrange the space for you. Just remember to book your group under one name so the kitchen can prep your portions perfectly.

When your sitting finishes, the night continues outside. We're lighting the firepits near reception so you can grab a drink, roast some marshmallows and head out under the stars.
