Cheshire Safety Day 2025 - Widnes
Cheshire Safety Day is being held on Tuesday 20 May. It is a day for the Service to dedicate to our prevention and protection work, in the areas of Road, Water, Business Safety, CPR Awareness and Home Safety, in particular safe and well visits.
Widnes Fire Station will be holding a Road Safety event at the fire station for students studying Public Services from Cronton and Riverside Colleges, showing them the appliances, equipment, covering key fire safety advice as well as showing them an RTC demonstration. With many new young drivers on the road, this event is aimed at engaging with our target audience.
We are organising the day to bring staff from a range of different departments together to help contribute to our vision of a Cheshire where there are no deaths, injuries or damage from fires or other emergencies.
It is also a great opportunity for you to meet different staff who you may not come into contact with on a daily basis and to take part in activities which may be different from your normal role.
Please book onto which station/department and activity you would like to be a part of on the day. This is on a first come first served basis and there are only a limited amount of spaces that each station/department can accommodate. Should your circumstances change and you are no longer able to attend the activity you have booked onto, please ensure you cancel your booking as this will then free up the space for someone else to book.
