Chester Childfree & Childless

The Childfree/Childless Social group is a space for everyone without children (CF/CL step parents included) to meet others in a social setting & know that it will be a ‘kid free’ chat place. The chance to create connections and community, have interesting conversations about everyday life that don’t include constant references to being a parent. This is very much a social group and not a support group. 

We will meet in the The Meeting Room at Storyhouse, which can be found on the 1st floor, go up the staircase in the main foyer and turn left. You can also take the lift from the main foyer and select option 2, then turn left as you exit. 

Depending on attendance and availability we may move down to the Kitchen area, a social space where we can grab drink/food.

Please book onto the event so we know how many we are expecting. Due to the room capacity we're limited on numbers, but you can join the waiting list if needed & we will let you know when a space becomes available. 

We Aim to:

• Make connections & create community as non-parents based upon shared experiences, interests & location.
• Offer a social space for non-parents & the opportunity to join varied activities led by the interests of the group.

Our Group Guidelines:

• Respect & Boundaries – be respectful & kind in your conversation. Whilst partners who have children can attend we ask that they are mindful of the groups non parental focus.
• Listen with care -please don’t offer unsolicited advice.
• Inclusion & Awareness – we welcome & celebrate differences and encourage language that shows respect for all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, disabilities, body types, sexual orientations, genders (including trans and non-binary people), relationship statuses, and religions.
