The GREAT BIG walk with CHEXS 2023

Join us as we walk the Hertfordshire way on the 30th September from Shenley to Cuffley.

We are working with Helping Herts this year, a charity that is working with 12 Hertfordshire-based charities to raise money for children and young people. Each charity will be taking a different section of the walk on September 30th so the whole 195 miles of the Hertfordshire Way will be walked in a single day between us all.

Our section, from Shenley to Cuffley, will be guided by Pete our CEO who will ensure we don’t get lost. The 11 mile walk takes in the picturesque countryside taking us through south mimms, the northern edge of Potters Bar and Northaw to reach Cuffley. We have sorted free parking in Shenley and can organise a free transfer from Cuffley back to Shenley via our CHEXS minibus.

St Giles church hall, are providing a perfect stop off point halfway for a complimentary lunch (sandwiches, crisps, fruit and a cup of tea / coffee etc) and we will finish at Cuffley train station where our team will be on hand to celebrate your success and help you stretch out your tired legs.

So whether you come as a team, you walk with your dog or you come on your own, join us and help us to raise money for CHEXS this September.

Registration is £10 per adult (16+),  £5 per child or £30 for a family (2 adults and up to 4 children).

Once your place is confirmed, a fundraising page will be set up for you. We are asking our walkers to try and raise a as much as they can. Thanks to the Chaldean Charitable Trust, all your fundraising sponsorship will be doubled and come straight to CHEXS.
