An Evening of Song and Word

Sun 21 Jun 2026 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM The Hug and Pint, G4 9AW

Join us at the legendary Hug and Pint for an evening of Singer-Songwriters and Spoken Word.
Part of WestFest, Glasgow's biggest community led cultural festival.

Glasgow singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Amy Duncan has been writing and recording since the release of her debut album, Pilgrimage, in 2006.
Tonight she performs songs from her latest album Greetings from Gartnavel - a strikingly personal collection written with lyricist David Paton.

Biff Smith is a poet and singer-songwriter from Glasgow. He began writing and performing poetry as he was attracted by the idea of not having to carry a guitar.
In 2025 he won both Scottish and World Poetry Slam Championships.
His specialist subjects include failure, depression, alcoholism and existential dread.
He enjoys fine wines and likes a good belly laugh.

Chiara Berardelli left her job as a doctor to follow her passion and self-released her first album at the tender age of 42.
Her songs are an evocative collision of her piano-led love of harmony and fiercely honest lyrics.
Her latest album, Archaeology, has been a new writing collaboration with Biff Smith of Glasgow band A New International.
