Join the Chicago Palestine Film Festival for this exclusive event on closing weekend with special guests Taqi Spateen and Rolla Selbak.

Taqi Spateen is a multi-talented Palestinian artist, and a Fine Arts graduate of the International Academy of Art (IAA) in Ramallah, Palestine.

Taqi has also created large murals for local and international communities, and street art on the apartheid wall in Bethlehem about international cases, such as murals in honour of George Floyd and Iyad Hallaq. Spateen’s work continues to reach international audiences, and has been featured across local, regional and global news and media outlets.


Rolla Selbak
is a Sundance alumna, and a writer/director of film and TV, with TV projects most recently in development at 20th Century Fox and Sony. She imprints her fresh point of view as a Palestinian American, having moved to the U.S after the first Gulf War, and often focuses on socially topical issues that unite audiences.

Rolla has previously served on the board of directors at OUTFEST, and the SAN FRANCISCO WOMEN’S FILM INSTITUTE, where she was involved in initiatives specifically geared towards nurturing a new generation of filmmakers.
