Chicago Puzzle Club - Solo Speed Puzzle Competition & Puzzle Swap - December 15, 2024

Chicago Puzzle Club is a Chicago-based group with the mission to build and grow the puzzle community in and around Chicago. We host various puzzle events throughout the year, including casual and speed puzzle competitions.

In December 2024, we are hosting our first solo speed puzzle competition in Chicago where individual puzzlers compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 2-hour time limit. Prizes will be awarded to the winners! Puzzlers who come dressed in festive holiday clothes will receive an extra free raffle ticket.

We will also have a table for an optional puzzle swap where you can take a puzzle in exchange for each puzzle that you drop off.

Additional Information:

• One ticket will cover one (1) individual and includes the competition puzzle, puzzle bag, and free snacks and drinks.
• Competitors can take home their puzzle used in the competition.
• The puzzle swap will be open at 1:00pm.
• Puzzle competition starts promptly at 1:30pm and will end at 3:30pm. For competitors who don’t finish the puzzle within the allotted time, remaining pieces will be tallied for the ranking.
• There is limited street parking. We recommend planning accordingly so that you can make it in time for the competition.
• There will be a free raffle to win prizes.
  
• This event is open to individuals 16 years of age and older.
• No alcohol is allowed, but feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks or snacks. Free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
• Competition will be held at Chicago Park District Gill (Joseph) Park (825 W. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60613). This venue is wheelchair accessible.
  

Spectator Ticket Information:

• Each ticket allows one (1) spectator at the event, participation in the puzzle swap, and access to free snacks and drinks.
• Spectators must be behind marked areas and may be asked to leave if causing a disruption to competitors.

Deadline to register is Wednesday, December 11, 2024. No refunds after registration closes.
