This year’s lecture will be delivered by Bragi Gudbrandsson. Bragi is Vice Chair of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child and was the lead Rapporteur of the UN Committee’s Taskforce for the most recent examination of the UK Government.

The 2023 lecture will cover:

• The status of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
• International standards in protecting children and young people
• Consideration of the Concluding Observations and Recommendations in law
• Key issues from the UK examination
• Regressions in children’s rights in Northern Ireland
