Developing an Understanding Child Sexual Abuse, Two-Day Course

This two-day course provides practitioners with an opportunity to develop their knowledge, confidence and skills in recognising and responding to child sexual abuse, with a strong focus on applying learning to practice.

Following on from the recent CSA Roadshow, and in preparation for the upcoming launch of the North Lincolnshire CSA Strategy and Pathway Document, we are pleased to offer this new training opportunity. A number of practitioners from across the partnership have now been trained by the NSPCC to deliver this accredited two-day course.

What will participants learn?

The training uses case studies, small-group activities and interactive tools to support professionals to understand and respond effectively to child sexual abuse.

• identify the types of child sexual abuse (CSA)
• use appropriate language
• understand the research base
• determine ways to support most vulnerable groups at risk for CSA
• identify the ways CSA can impact children, their families, and society
• recognise, respond, report and record concerns
• share best practice with others in your network.
• gain knowledge of the local CSA Pathway

By booking a place on this training, there is an expectation that you will attend the full 2 days training. You will be asked to provide your manager’s name when booking. If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by email to MARS@northlincs.gov.uk and copy your manager into the notification. Non-attendance without prior notification will be followed up with your line manager.
