Loyd is Chairman of the Royal Parks - a newly created position to lead a new charity that will manage and fundraise for London's Royal Parks. He has a long association with the arts and heritage sectors. He is currently a patron of the Association for Heritage Interpretation and Heritage Open Days, is the President of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) and since 2009 has been the Chairman of the Heritage Alliance.
Well-recognised as a television presenter in the UK, he made his TV debut in 1987 as the roving presenter for Through the Keyhole and made almost 400 appearances on the programme. In 1990 he became the first presenter of MasterChef which he hosted for ten years. In 2000, he was appointed to head a £40 million project to improve the quality of food served in British NHS hospitals. He also developed his own range of Loyd Grossman cooking sauces, widely available in UK supermarkets.
