Tom presents a talk that reviews his diverse river-related work - from first connections with rivers (particularly the River Thames); river-inspired poetry and ‘lost river’ walks, to the publication of his book ‘London Clay’.

His current role involves researching the ancient practice of Thames Mudlarking in a PhD project partnered with the Museum of London, Thames Discovery Programme and Queen Mary’s University, London.
