THE COMPANY DRESSED IN GREEN: A May Day Celebration
Sat May 18, 2024 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Charles A. Brown Ice House, 18018
Description
Hail the spring and sing in the coming of summer with The Chivalrous Crickets as they celebrate the season, Celtic festival-style. The Crickets combine ancient and modern customs to create a rollicking May Day (aka Beltane) experience for the whole family. Centered around a concert of spring-themed folk music, expect May Day carol sing-alongs, children's games, the crowning of a May Queen and King, a historic short Robin Hood play, head wreath making, refreshments, and MAY POLE DANCE!!
Wear your favorite festive spring attire and join the Crickets, with Lehigh Valley dramaturgist and writer of the "Celtic Cultural Moment" on Celtic Fair (WDIY) Kate Scuffle, in the magical Greenwood for song, dance, ritual and play!
Ticket holders receive 20% off purchases at Donegal Square on Main St. Bethlehem all weekend (5/18 - 5/19), and the adjacent Red Stag Pub will feature a limited-offer themed-cocktail called "The Beltane". Join us at the Red Stag after the show for dinner, drinks and continued revelry! (at the corner of Main St. & W. Walnut)
~ If you chose to roll your unused Twelfth Night tickets over to May Day, select ticket category ROLLED OVER for $0.00 at checkout, and enter the amount of rolled-over tickets. (Completing this "order process" will help us estimate a headcount). If you have any questions about this process, or your order history, please reach out to Fiona at gillespiefi@gmail.com.
~ If you wish to add more tickets to your group than you had previously rolled over, please complete a separate order for those individual tickets.
~ If you prefer to roll unused Twelfth Night tickets over to Twelfth Night 2025, simply purchase May Day tickets under General/Youth, and your name and rolled over tickets will remain on the list, usable for next January.
