Yin is a slow, meditative style of yoga that involves holding gentle floor-based poses for around 3-5 minutes at a time. Yin yoga targets the body's connective tissue such as fascia. It's also a mindful practice that can develop mental focus and concentration as well as increased body and breath awareness.
Soft props such as bolster cushions, pillows, blankets and yoga blocks are useful.
