QWAH: LET’S MAKE ART TOGETHER!

Bring your smocks and imaginations and join artists Ocean James and Anna Williams for an hour of art-making! They will host a painting session where participants practice under the philosophy of ikebana––the art of flower arrangement. They hope to create space for contemplation and intention.

Ocean James is a model and artist from southeast London. She’s been an artist her whole life, holding the philosophy that art is a way of living, being, receiving, and downloading. She often works with mixed media, but specialises in painting. She’s a firm believer in intention before participating in any creative practice, that process is more important than the final works, and that freedom can be found in allowing yourself to participate in the process without any expectation.

Anna Williams is a creator who uses her platform to discuss the threads of belonging, the third space, and intersectionality of race and gender.
