Freedom to Choose Schools Presents the 4th Annual Legacy Gala

Honoring David Hardy
November 11, 2026 | Girard College | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Join Freedom to Choose Schools for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the 4th Annual Legacy Gala, our premier fundraising event dedicated to advancing educational freedom, opportunity, and excellence for Black and Brown families across the nation.

This year, we are proud to honor David Hardy, visionary educator, founder of Boys' Latin of Philadelphia Charter School, and President of Girard College. For more than two decades, David Hardy has been a tireless advocate for educational innovation, leadership, and expanding opportunities for students and families. His unwavering commitment to empowering young people has transformed countless lives and strengthened communities throughout Philadelphia and beyond.

Set against the historic backdrop of Girard College, this elegant evening will bring together educators, advocates, policymakers, community leaders, philanthropists, and supporters from across the country to celebrate a legacy of impact and the future of educational self-determination.

Guests will enjoy:

• Cocktail Reception
• Dinner and Program
• Inspiring stories of educational transformation
• Special guest speakers and tributes
• Opportunities to support the mission of Freedom to Choose Schools

The Legacy Gala serves as both a celebration and a call to action—raising critical resources to ensure families have access to high-quality educational options and the power to choose the learning environments that best meet their children's needs.

We invite you to join us for an evening of purpose, inspiration, and impact as we honor a leader whose legacy continues to shape the future of education.

Together, we celebrate the past, champion the present, and invest in the future.
