Lauren Kravitz is a freelance dance artist working in Dallas, TX and New York. She received her early training from Booker T. Washington HSPVA and graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. Lauren began her professional career in New York as a member of Take Dance, UNA Projects, and Indah Walsh Dance Company, among others. In 2016, Lauren joined Seán Curran Company, and has performed professionally around the country at venues including the ODC Theater (CA), Brooklyn Academy of Music (NY), and the Watermill Center (NY), among others. She has taught at New York University, Sam Houston State University, The Wooden Floor, and more. Lauren is dedicated to contributing to and supporting the dance community. Lauren is a founding contributor to Agora Artists, a non-profit arts service organization for DFW dancers. Through Agora Artists she’s developed and managed programming, raised funds through grant writing and crowdsource campaigns, facilitated professional development workshops, and continues to cultivate relationships among local dance artists. She works as a grant writer for non-profit arts organizations, guest teaches throughout North Texas, and continues to collaborate with Texas and New York-based artists. Her recent engagements include performing in Opera Theater of Saint Louis' Julius Caesar, Sean Curran Company's Céilí at Jacob's Pillow and the Irish Arts Center, and Sean Curran Company's PATH at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Water Work, her own work in collaboration with Shantel Prado, was presented at Pageant in Brooklyn in March 2025.

Rai Barnard is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher born and raised in DFW. After 15 years of training, Rai graduated from UT Dallas in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Rai’s performance experience ranges from theatrical productions (Prism Movement Theater, Stage West, Flexible Grey Theatre, Lyric Stage) to music concerts (MATTIE) to contemporary dance (works by Jen Mabus, Katie Milligan, and Sarah Matzke).

In 2021 they produced and choreographed their first evening-length show, The Cost of Visibility through UT Dallas. More recently, they presented another full-length dance theatre show- First MI Last – for the AMOC Artist-in-Residence program (2022). Rai continues to perform, choreograph, and teach in DFW with a focus on building community and empowering others to use movement as a means for personal and collective growth.
