The program will be conducted by Richard Travers, Music Director of the Fine Arts Chorale. Hayley Travers, mezzo-soprano, and Eleanor Blake, cellist, will join maestro Travers.
John Rutter Requiem (1985) - Rutter's Requiem has established itself as a modern classic, celebrated for its beauty, accessibility, and ability to connect deeply with performers and audiences alike. It is a significant work in the choral repertoire, composed in 1985 and first performed in October of that year. The piece is a musical setting that combines sections of the Latin Requiem Mass with English texts from the Book of Common Prayer and the Psalms.
