The second of a series of great value workshops, covering all elements of the acting industry

These will be mainly Practical days interspersed with short insight sessions. The classes are open to all, regardless of experience.

Following my well-attended January Workshop on Self-Tapes and Voiceover I’m moving on to a wider look at early career development.

Aimed at anyone who is looking to break into the industry, people returning to the acting world after a break or those who want to kick-on and gain more professional credits. 

This session really will cover a wide range of topics - all based on my experiences (In times of struggle and success!)

Theatre :

Understudying:  Find out what’s it like covering roles in the biggest London Theatres, the ins and outs of ‘walking’ understudies and ensemble roles. 
Fringe : Explore the world of Fringe Theatre and discover how it can be a great place to hone your craft and a platform onto the bigger stages. 

Commercials : We will delve into the crazy and varied world of Adverts - both UK based and international.
Working on actual Commercial audition sides and learning how to stand out from the crowd in this oversaturated but lucrative area. 

Short Film: From collaborating with friends to working with Students at the top Film Schools, Shorts can be a brilliant way to sharpen your Screen Acting, build future professional relationships and gain precious showreel footage.
We’ll take a look at the process from casting through to screening and how you can get the most from it. 

Television: Script work trying to perfect those one/two line guest roles - these can be really tricky jobs as you often get them early in your career and put a lot of pressure on yourself to ‘get it right’ which is restricting from the outset.
We’ll be trying different approaches and seeing if we can bring character and nuance to the smallest parts. We’ll also be looking at what your first shoot day might look like using real-life examples of schedules, etc. 

Agents, Casting, Networking, Headshots and Showreels - plenty of info and insight on all these important topics!

Chris Anderson is an Actor with over two decades of experience in the industry and around fifteen years as a VO Artist

TV work includes Red Eye, Silo, Rome, Doctor Who, Emmerdale and Coronation Street, among many others.

His diverse performing background includes plays at The National Theatre, a number of Radio Dramas for the BBC, Fifteen Commercials and award-winning short films.

Chris has recorded hundreds of Voiceovers including National advertising Campaigns for Sky, Jaguar, VW and Trivago. Video games include Total War: Warhammer II and Arena.

He’s narrated documentaries for The History Channel and Channel 5, among others, and has dubbed countless foreign language Films and TV series for Amazon.

Upcoming work includes a recurring role in ‘Eastenders’ and Voicing a character in the Netflix animated feature of Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’
