The Most Rev’d and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE is the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury and spiritual leader of the worldwide Anglican Communion—the first woman ever to hold this position.

As Dean of His Majesty’s Chapels Royal, she held a senior role within the Royal Household and made history at the Coronation of King Charles III in Westminster Abbey by reading the Gospel. As Archbishop of Canterbury, she now holds the Church of England’s most prominent constitutional and ceremonial relationship with the Crown.

A former cancer nurse, Chief Nursing Officer for England, and Bishop of London, Archbishop Sarah has long served at the intersection of Church and State. Known for her thoughtful leadership, deep faith, and commitment to compassion and healing, she bridges the worlds of healthcare, public service, the Royal Household, and the Church at the highest levels.
