What to Expect: Your Questions Answered

Q: Is this just another seminar or conference?

No. This is an Action Summit where people actually find a path forward. Last year, 100% of the feedback centered on the "wow moments": from the calming saxophone that centered the room to the "Breathe" sessions that gave people immediate relief. Participants raved about the "easy to apply" breakout sessions and the powerful realization that they aren't alone. We don't just talk; we give you the tools to change how you respond to life’s challenges.

Q: What will I actually do?

  • Focused Sessions: Choose two breakouts led by experts. Topics include trauma-informed care, mental health crisis response, digital wellness, dementia awareness, and stress management.
  • Direct Access: Meet face to face with community organizations and therapy agencies to find real-world services.
  • Grounded Tools: Learn how to reduce despair without minimizing pain and counter shame without being forced to disclose personal details.

Q: What is the main goal?

We focus on three pillars:

  1. Access: Clear, easy-to-understand information about support and community resources.
  2. Stigma Reduction: Normalizing mental health conversations and help-seeking without judgment.
  3. Empowerment: Tools and small actions that help restore confidence and forward movement.

Q: How do I secure my spot?

To ensure every participant gets the resources, lunch, and direct connection they deserve, we are capping registration at 150 people. Once the building is at capacity, we cannot add more seats. Register today to ensure you have a place in the room.

Q: Do I have to be a member of a church to attend?

No. Mental wellness is a universal need. While hosted by Christian Growth Ministries and Red Oak UMC, this summit is inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of background or faith.

What People Are Saying

“Knowing I’m not alone and that it's okay to reach out for help.”

Last year, our participants didn't just sit in a room; they left with a new perspective on faith and wellness. When we asked what was most meaningful, here is what they shared:

  • Real Connection: "The collaboration between faith and mental wellness... knowing that this conversation belongs in the church."
  • Actionable Tools: "Learning to take a breath in stressful times" and "actively listening to those who lean on me for leadership."
  • Life-Changing Information: From understanding the "online world" to "learning the signs of dementia," attendees left with info they are applying to their lives right now.
  • The Atmosphere: "The entire event blessed me. I will apply this to how I respond to people in the future."
