Description
Misdirection A Hands On Approach - (A Full Day Workshop for Magicians)
Whilst you can read a lot about the art of ”misdirection”, learning how to apply it, and how to practise it is as a performer is an illusive subject.
In this workshop with Swedish magician Tom Stone, you will both learn the theory behind misdirection, and get a hands-on instruction on how to make it work for you. You’ll learn practical techniques that will instantly elevate all your performances.
The workshop is a full day, designed exclusively for magicians. The workshop will not focus on the teaching of routines and methods, but rather give delegates the skills to greatly improve their existing performances through a careful study and application of theory through individual and group exercises. The workshop is therefore recommended only for professionals or magicians with a serious interest in elevating their craft.
Registration places are limited to ensure the quality of experience and teaching for all delegates.
At the end of the day there will also be the opportunity to join us for dinner and social time to carry on discussions about the art and performance of magic with the venue TBC closer to the time.

About Tom Stone
Tom is based in Stockholm, Sweden. He is part of Mystique, Stockholm - a magic troop creating innovative public facing magic shows, he has performed at The Magic Castle, lectured at FISM, and is well known for his published books "Vortex" & "Maelstrom" .
Alternating between subtle humour and passionate drama, sometimes from moment to moment, and sometimes in the same breath, Tom is a magician who plays with what we see, and with what we think we see. His great passion for magic as an art form, his respect for its roots and its old masters, and his talent for dissecting human cognition and perception – and his ability to twist and turn the parts and put them together into something completely new, have given him recognition and respect from professional magicians around the world.
