We have four one week intensives (descriptions below). Purchase a pass that includes one intensive or bundle multiple for a discount.

Clown Intensive JULY 17-21
Taught By: Dan Griffiths, Dana Merwin

This course is intended for performers and non performers of all varieties who wish to develop greater physical vocabulary and explore how they are uniquely funny. Learn to trust yourself onstage in a state of true play and originality. Learn to follow your impulses with Delight, Discovery, Generosity, Action, Risk, and Humor! Through clear instruction and feedback, games, and entrances, you will develop a greater awareness of yourself in relation to your partners, your props, and your audience in a safe and fun environment. Prepare to experience the joy of discovery and the celebration of your ridiculous self!

Mime Intensive JULY 24 - 28
Taught By: Stephen Chipps, Dan Griffiths

Learn to sharpen and wield your physical and emotional presence for maximum results using techniques handed down from masters in the field. Compose imagery with clarity and economy. Discover isolations, rotations, inclinations, stops, impulses and playwriting techniques.

Devising Ensemble Intensive JULY 31 - AUG 4

Explore physical theater by creating new material with an ensemble. Discover partnering, invention and expression! Come be part of an ensemble that will create and perform a new work!

Improvisation Intensive AUG 7 - 11
Taught By: Craig Gaspian

We can take the stage with no script and still have a plan. In this course you’ll learn and practice “Harold”, a worldwide group theatre format born in the Bay Area. The format’s structure gives performers a basic map of how a performance will play out while allowing for fully improvised content, and the comedy techniques it offers are valuable in any improvised show.
