Film Summary:

In When You Were Not Here, directed and produced by Kaveh Sajjadi Hosseini, Marziyeh has spent years raising her son alone after her husband Farhad fled the country with their landlord’s son. One night he returns, only to disappear again by morning — sending Marziyeh into a desperate search for answers. Through this intimate narrative, the film casts a light on the silent suffering of women and children left behind and hints at the birth of new strength and resilience in their absence.

در نبودنت به کارگردانی و تهیه‌کنندگی کاوه سجادی حسینی، مرثیه سال‌ها بعد از آنکه همسرش فرهاد با پسر صاحبخانه از کشور گریخت، با تنهایی خود و پسرش زندگی کرده است. شبی فرهاد بازمی‌گردد، اما صبح فردا دوباره ناپدید می‌شود و مرضیه در جست‌وجوی پاسخ‌هاست. از خلال این روایت صمیمی، فیلم رنج خاموش زنان و کودکان رها شده را به تصویر می‌کشد و نوید تولد نیرویی تازه و مقاوم را در دل فقدان می‌دهد
