Generative artificial intelligence has become a massive talking point in higher education.

Everyone is learning about AI together, and there are many different ways to approach the conversation around Information Literacy teaching and AI. This event will be an opportunity for Librarians to hear how others are teaching AI literacy, and how they are engaging with staff and student concerns surrounding AI.

In this event we will hear from Michael Flierl, an Associate Professor and Student Learning Librarian at Ohio State University.

We will also hear from librarians from across the sector, sharing their own experiences and case studies of teaching about (and with) AI. We have all been tackling AI in different ways. This event will be an opportunity to share best practice around AI and Information Literacy teaching.

The event will be chaired by Jane Secker (Deputy Chair of ILG and Associate Professor in Educational Development at City St George’s University of London).

If you want contribute your own experiences to this event, you can submit a short case study or volunteer to do a short presentation using this form.

This event is free for CILIP members, and £5 for non-CILIP members.

We try to make these events as accessible as possible, if you are a student or unwaged, please email events.ilg@cilip.org.uk for a code to sign up to this event for free.
