STAGES with Lenny Beige

Songs from the World of Bond

Saturday 25 April 2026 · Circle & Star Theatre, Hampstead

The music of Bond was never meant for arenas.

Sweeping brass. Smoky ballads. The particular tension of a song that knows something you don't. In a 55-seat room, that tension has nowhere to hide — and nowhere to go but straight into the room.

Lenny Beige returns to STAGES for an evening of glamour, wit and unforgettable music from the world of Bond. Expect elegance. Expect impeccable tailoring. Expect the songs you know redelivered with the intimacy they were always designed for.

One night only. No distance. No anonymity.

✨ SPECIAL GUEST: BETTY LOU

VOICES with Guy Chambers favourite and absolute Circle & Star room favourite — Betty Lou is joining Lenny Beige for an evening in the world of Bond. The glamour just got louder.

✨ SPECIAL GUEST: MARK O'CONNELL

Described by The Times as "007's number one fan," Mark O'Connell is a writer, author, and pop culture commentator whose books have earned critical acclaim and both national and international media attention.

His debut book, Catching Bullets: Memoirs of a Bond Fan — with forewords by Barbara Broccoli and Mark Gatiss, and an afterword by Maud Adams — is a wonderfully funny and touching memoir about growing up as an eccentric Bond fan in 1980s Britain. His grandfather, Jimmy, was chauffeur to legendary Bond producer Cubby Broccoli for over 30 years, giving young Mark a front-row seat to the world of 007.

His new book, Bond, Queer Bond: The Fabulous Other History of a Spy (The History Press, May 2026), uncovers the queer talents, beats, and personalities that have shaped the James Bond phenomenon across film, fashion, music, and culture. With guest contributions from Barbara Broccoli, David Arnold, Mark Gatiss, Putter Smith, John Glen, Jany Temime, Maud Adams, and more, it's a rich, colourful, and compelling manifesto about the LGBTQ+ creativity behind the openly straight spy.

A frequent voice across BBC platforms, Sky News, The Times, The Guardian, and major global outlets, Mark was also a producer on the acclaimed Bond documentary The Other Fellow (2023).

✨ SPECIAL GUEST: MADELINE SMITH

One of the most recognisable faces of British film and television. Her Hammer credits include The Vampire Lovers, Taste the Blood of Dracula, and Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell — opposite Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. On screen alongside Ava Gardner and Roger Moore. A Carry On veteran. A fixture of cult British television — The Two Ronnies, Steptoe and Son, All Creatures Great and Small. And Miss Caruso in Live and Let Die — the first Bond girl of the Roger Moore era, a role Moore personally recommended her for.

She has been many things to many people.
On 25th April, she'll be in this room.

✨ SPECIAL GUEST: CAROLE ASHBY

Actress, raconteuse, and Bond Girl, appearing alongside Roger Moore in both Octopussy (1983) and A View to a Kill (1985) — where she played Dominique, the whistling girl in the unforgettable butterfly routine at the Tour Eiffel Restaurant. Best known to British audiences as Louise in the BBC's 'Allo 'Allo!, Carole's screen credits also include Chariots of Fire, Minder, Bergerac, Inspector Morse, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. A brilliant storyteller with wit, warmth, and decades of remarkable tales, she joins Lenny Beige for an evening of Bond, showbiz, and the kind of memories only a true insider can share.

More very special guests to be announced in the coming weeks.
