Neil Mullarkey presents CROWDSAUCE
Neil Mullarkey presents CROWDSAUCE
An Interactive Improv Crowd Show
Wednesday 1 April 2026 · 8:00pm–9:15pm · Circle & Star Theatre, Hampstead
One of the country's most experienced comedy improvisers steps into the room for a brand-new interactive show, created specifically for an intimate space.
Some comedians do crowd work.
Neil Mullarkey makes the crowd work.
After forty years at the sharp end of live comedy, Neil Mullarkey presents his next chapter — live at Circle & Star.

Sometimes, the size of the room is the point. Fifty seats means closeness. Closeness means we can craft it. Stories form in real time. Laughter lands instantly. The room and the stage become one shared moment.
This is a Hampstead happening — shaped by who's there, how it feels, and what unfolds between performers and audience.
No separation. No safety net. Maximum laughs.
You're welcome to join in as much — or as little — as you like. Some people lean forward. Others sit back and enjoy the ride. Either way, you're in good hands.
What happens here happens once — and only here. This is live comedy at its most live.

About Neil Mullarkey
A co-founder of The Comedy Store Players and a central figure in British improvisation for over forty years, Neil has spent a lifetime turning uncertainty into laughter — live, unscripted, and unrepeatable. You may recognise him from Whose Line Is It Anyway? or the Austin Powers films. His natural habitat is the room itself — where audience and performer share responsibility for what happens next. Neil now teaches improvisation and creative leadership around the world, and his book In the Moment was shortlisted for Business Book of the Year 2024.
CROWDSAUCE is improv stripped to its essentials. No spectators. No safety net. Just people.
