PERHAPS - A JOURNEY: addiction, healing and redemption
Amy Cregor Productions presents…
PERHAPS - A JOURNEY: addiction, healing and redemption.
13th - 15th April 2026 - 7:30pm
A raw, comic and devastating one-woman play following Lena, a teenage girl stuck between a Catholic school that won’t listen, a home that isn’t safe, and a version of herself she invented just to survive.
Over the course of a single school day, Lena ricochets between hymn practice and house parties, sports day glory and after-school detentions, free food from nuns and pills swallowed in secret. She’s sharp, reckless and desperate to be seen as more than a “problem.” As belief in God slips away, belief in herself also fractures, replaced by drugs, humour, anger, and the dangerous comfort of being wanted.
Told with biting wit, brutal honesty and moments of unexpected tenderness, Perhaps interrogates who gets listened to, who gets protected, and what happens when care becomes conditional. Unapologetic and unsettling, Perhaps asks a simple question with no easy answer: when everything hurts, what are you supposed to believe in?
Themes: Faith, adolescence, addiction, sexual trauma, consent, identity, and the thin line between survival and self-destruction.
