Ann has one hour to write her mother's eulogy.
One hour to compress a lifetime.
One hour to choose what stays.
One hour to decide what version of the truth the room can hold.

What unfolds is something theatre rarely gives you: grief in real time. Raw, contradictory, unexpectedly funny — and completely human.

As Ann attempts to compose something dignified, memories refuse to behave. Tenderness collides with frustration. Love sits beside resentment. Laughter interrupts tears. In her search for order, she even consults an AI assistant — and discovers that grief resists neat formatting.

What emerges is not a polished tribute, but something far more honest: a reckoning with complexity, with contradiction, and the impossible task of letting go.

Intimate, unsentimental, and unexpectedly funny — Fickle Eulogy asks:
Who are we allowed to be in grief? And who are we brave enough to remember?
