McAlmont & Madonna challenges the tired narrative that Madonna is merely an entrepreneur rather than a great musician. Drawing on a career spent navigating soul, pop, jazz, art and academia, McAlmont reclaims her catalogue as a body of bold, emotionally complex, intelligent songwriting. Stripped of spectacle and recentred around voice, melody and lyric, these songs reveal craft, vulnerability and cultural ambition that the noise has always obscured.

With personal reflection and sharp cultural commentary, McAlmont explores why Madonna’s work matters — her command of melody, her instinct for collaboration, her lyrical directness, and her fearless reinvention. A celebration of a great artist hiding in plain sight.
