The Marilyn Monroe Story — A Cabaret Documentary
One hundred years since she was born. Two nights to look again.
Marilyn Monroe would have turned one hundred this year. JoJo Desmond marks the centenary with a cabaret documentary — thirteen songs from Marilyn's films, and the woman underneath the myth.
The Evening
Thirteen songs drawn from Marilyn's films, sung live. Costume changes, dance, dialogue and projection. And running underneath all of it, the questions that never quite settled — the triumphs, the tragedies, and a death that has never stopped being argued over.
JoJo Desmond peels the myth back to find the woman underneath — what fame asked of her, what Hollywood took, and where the “casting couch” began. Celebration and reckoning in the same evening, in a room of fifty-five.
