Circle Modern Dance Presents: Shadows & Light
Circle Modern Dance Presents: Shadows & Light
Need help?
Join Circle Modern Dance, a local non-profit dance company, in collaboration with composer William Wright and the Knoxville Museum of Art for Shadows & Light, a one-night-only performance that reimagines the museum experience. As dancers and sound guide you through the galleries, movement becomes a living response to the museum’s architecture, landscape, and artwork—including the newest exhibit, Electricity for All. This is a site-specific performance that creates a summer’s evening of dance in conversation with the collection throughout the museum and its grounds.
Featuring original choreography by Angela Hill, Kimberly Matibag, Nate Barrett, Heather Coker Hawkins, and Jill Frere, this immersive performance invites you to see art in a whole new way—through motion, energy, and sound.
The performance will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 7:00 PM at the Knoxville Museum of Art (1050 Worlds Fair Park Drive). Tickets are $20 in advance on TicketTailor and $25 at the door with a $5 discount for students, seniors, military service members, and Knoxville Museum of Art Members. Shadows & Light is a show for all ages and participates in the Penny4Arts program, allowing children to attend for one penny when accompanied by an adult.
