About Our Speaker: 

Melissa Blevins is the President & CEO of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, where she provides leadership and strategic vision to combat hunger across a 20-county region serving an estimated 180,000 food-insecure neighbors. She began her career at the food bank in 2011 as Director of Operations, helping double distribution, expand access to fresh foods, implement online operations, and launch rural delivery programs. After serving as CEO of Girls Inc. of Chattanooga, where she expanded programs for girls, Melissa returned to the food bank in 2020 to guide the organization through the pandemic and continue its growth, now supporting a network of 200 partners. An active civic leader, she serves on multiple nonprofit and community boards, holds a Bachelor of Science from Covenant College, and is a proud mom and Gigi. She believes that all people are worthy of dignity, respect, and compassion, and her favorite quote is, “I cannot do all the good that the world needs.
