Description

Take a trip across the world to Salerno, Italy to listen to the musical stylings of Ipocontrio.

Ipocontrio was born in 2004 from the meeting of three young musicians from Salerno: Bruno Salicone (piano), Francesco Galatro (double bass) and Armando Luongo (drums). The characterizing aspect of their music is the love for jazz and improvisation. The sounds of the three instrumentalists materialize in a completely personal artistic interpretation, thanks to the continuous interplay that arises from the articulated melodic lines of the pianist Salicone that intersect in the rhythmic games of Galatro and Luongo. In 2009 the trio won the "European Jazz Contest" organized by the St. Louis Jazz College of Music and in 2011 they recorded their first album "The beginning of a love affair", produced by the St Louis Jazz Collection.
