Visual Artists
Rebecca Howell, Painter
Rebecca Howell is an abstract painter based in Wilmington, Delaware. Her paintings explore mental and emotional shifts during different stages of life through layers and brushwork, often intuitively working her way through each work of art. Rebecca earned her BFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she also oversaw sales in multiple art galleries. Upon moving to Delaware, she has had the pleasure of working with artists and innovators every day through volunteering with various arts organizations and managing creative programs at the Delaware Art Museum.
Samara Weaver, Artist
I grew up making artwork my whole life. Having an artist for a father can have that effect. In my college years I got both my bachelor's and master's in architecture which further enhanced my artistic abilities and added another layer of reasoning and functionality to my work. Through college I was also able to add other skills to my artistic repertoire, taking oil painting and glass blowing alongside my architecture classes. I use many different mediums, including: paper, watercolor, clay (ceramic), wood, photography, glass, wool (felt), dyes, oil paint, and metal. Using these different mediums allows me to choose the best one for the project I'm working on. If I think there's a better medium or method I haven't tried yet, I'm always up for learning something new!
Performance will premiere on Friday, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. and link will be available for repeat viewing thru April 1, 2022. Auction bids will only be accepted by on-site attendees.
