Winchester Drumming School 2026

This year we welcome Sean Patrick Regan, an accomplished piper and drummer, with extensive experience as an instructor to teach the 3-day drumming portion of our school at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, July 23-25. This year the instruction will focus on working with beginners up through about Grade 4 skill level, primarily on snare. Sean served for four years as the Director of Music at Massanutten Military Academy, completed a Master of Music in Bagpipe Performance at Carnegie Mellon University, earned terminal certificates in Piping Performance, Theory, and Teaching from the Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board, Scotland, as well as the Graduate Certificate accredited by the EUSPBA. Sean serves as Pipe Band Instructor for the Balmoral Pipes & Drums, of Pittsburgh, and as Artistic Director for the Balmoral School of Piping & Drumming.
