About the York Green Business Forum

The York Green Business Forum supports businesses and organisations across York to reduce their environmental impacts, future-proof their operations and contribute towards York’s ambition to become net zero.

Through expert speakers, practical advice and networking, the Forum helps businesses take meaningful and achievable steps towards becoming more sustainable. Feedback has shown that the events are highly valued, particularly as a space to access practical support, share experiences and learn from others.

About this event

This session will focus on how businesses can improve efficiency across energy, water and waste, helping to reduce running costs while also reducing environmental impact.

Our recent survey found that 45% of businesses identified a lack of budget as one of the main barriers preventing them from taking further sustainability action. More than half also reported they were looking for financial support or practical advice and guidance to help them become greener.

This event is designed around those needs, with practical advice on how to reduce running costs by increasing efficiency, business examples and opportunities to connect with other local organisations facing similar challenges and opportunities.

The event is aimed specifically at business owners, managers and employees working in organisations based in or operating in York. You do not need to be a sustainability expert, the session is suitable for businesses at any stage of their sustainability journey.

Attendance is free, but booking is required.
