Debunking the Myths of the ‘Green Book’
*Timings to be confirmed soon*
We are delighted to invite you to our first in-person Midlands business case conference on Tuesday 3rd September 2024 at The Exchange, 3 Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2DR.
Treasury-compliant Green Book business cases ensure greater investment into our region. With a wide range of investment funds and the development of levelling up partnerships, emerging economic assessments, place-based strategies and greater devolution deals the ability to understand and craft the 5 elements of a business case is critical to driving the future growth of the Midlands Economy.
The event provides an unprecedented chance to:
- Hear from Joseph Lowe (Editor of The Green Book from 2006 to August 2024 and Head of the Economics of Social Welfare and Public Value) on how to develop a good business case that will deliver in practice.
- Explore the latest developments of the Green Book and the importance of place-based case-making.
- Live examples of successful business cases across the region.
- Take advantage of networking opportunities with economic and business development colleagues within local authorities, universities and government, political leaders and advisers, and regional companies.
Refreshments will be provided, however, if you have any specific questions or concerns regarding dietary requirements, please email Sarah Jeffery at s.jeffery@bham.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate.
We hope to share the agenda soon and look forward to seeing you in Birmingham.
