Join us for a beautiful Midsummer workshop in East London. Spend three hours slowing down, making something by hand, and marking the longest day on 20th June at 3.30pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before.
We're hosted at Hackney City Farm, just off Broadway Market, a much-loved spot that feels like a proper escape from the city.
We'll spend the first two hours making traditional Swedish flower crowns (midsommarkransar) with fresh, seasonal blooms, before Caroline Butler guides us through gentle movement, and a guided meditation (yoga nidra) designed around the season. The practice holds space for Midsummer, one of the oldest moments in the calendar, the sun at its peak, and the slow turn that follows.
No experience is needed for any of it; the flower making is relaxed and low-pressure, and the yoga and meditation are suitable for complete beginners too. Just bring a yoga mat for the second half.
- Small group experience
- Includes a sound bath and guided meditation (yoga nidra)
- Everyone takes home their flower crown and a goodie bag
- There'll be cake
You'll work with a variety of fresh, seasonal flowers under the guidance of a skilled teacher, choosing from a range of colours and textures to craft a bespoke crown that reflects your own style.
You'll head home with a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind keepsake you'll want to show off and the skills to make something similar again should the occasion call for it, whether that's a wedding, hen do, or just because.
