Join us for a free day-long event exploring wild food, where to find it, how to identify it, pick it and eat it! Through the morning we will be walking and foraging, before returning to the gallery to make jam together. At 3pm we will gather at the table to eat jam and talk about food and art, foraging and eating, urban landscapes and nature connection, with guest speakers Clare Penny (Landscape Architect, UEL SRI) Madeleine Collie (founder, Food Art Research Network) Tim Waterman (Professor of Landscape Theory, UCL) and Clare Qualmann (artist/researcher UEL). Part of East End Jam, an ongoing urban foraging artwork.
The East End Jam day is part of a series of events accompanying 'Walk this Way' an exhibition of walking art works by Clare Qualmann at Between People Gallery, AVA building, at UEL's Docklands Campus (7th July - 18th July 2026). Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition during the event.
