John Brooks - WSP
John is a Director in the Planning Consultancy team of WSP. He is Chair of the Leeds Planning & Developers Forum and a member of the Leeds City Region Planning Reform Group; part of the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. He has been a town planning consultant for 32 years. John will chair the seminar.
Carolyn Lord - Clarion
Carolyn heads up Clarion’s planning and highways team as a partner. Carolyn has over 30 years’ experience in planning and related areas of law. She has particular expertise in advising on large or challenging sites with legal planning or highway complexities and she brings experienced, detailed involvement in and practical knowledge of the entire development process.
Adam Harvatt - Leeds City Council
Adam is Group Manager for Policy and Plans at Leeds City Council within the City Development Directorate. His team has responsibility for the production of the new Local Plan for Leeds. His talk will focus on what the new Local Plan system means for Leeds, what the future timeline looks like and how developers and landowners can get involved. Adam has over 20 years’ experience of planning policy, across a range of specialisms, with direct involvement in the successful examination of multiple Local Plans.
