Description
Learn how to help clients have more agency and access resourceful states, using two techniques from the Embodied Clean approach.
Transform Your Coaching Practice
Your clients may know what they want, but staying in a resourceful state to achieve it is another matter. Whether they're getting stuck in their head, struggling to maintain confidence, or finding it hard to stay calm under pressure, the key often lies in their relationship with their body. In this introductory workshop, you'll get a taste of how working with the body can help address these challenges.
What You'll Learn
Join us for this hands-on workshop where you'll learn two foundational techniques that help clients connect to their bodies and take more control of their state. These are practical tools you can start using with clients right away - while mastery comes with practice, they're simple enough to apply immediately after the workshop.
We'll start by discovering How would you like to be? – a simple yet effective way to help clients identify and access more resourceful ways of being and to feel more in control.
Through a guided experience, you'll discover how naturally and easily someone can access a pleasant, resourceful state - a practical demonstration of the immediate impact of embodied work.
Finally you'll learn Clean Body Focusing, a precise questioning technique that helps clients notice and explore their bodily experience, building their capacity for self-awareness.
The Workshop Experience
This is a highly interactive session where learning happens through doing. You'll start with activities and experiences facilitated by the trainers and gradually build towards an activity in pairs with fellow participants, experiencing Clean Body Focusing both as client and practitioner. Throughout the workshop, you'll receive careful guidance and support, with time for questions about applying these approaches in your practice.
Why Embodied Clean?
As coaches and therapists, we know that real change often requires more than just talking and thinking. Our bodies hold wisdom that can guide transformation when we learn to listen to them.
Our senses are our gateways to the world. Our bodies are the containers of our experiences, good and bad, and can "store" unconscious memories and react to situations in ways we can't consciously control. Yet few coaching approaches make the body the focus of their work.
Research backs this up. When Eugene Gendlin studied what made therapy successful, one factor stood out above all others: the client's ability to tune into their body's knowing. Embodied Clean builds on this insight, giving you practical ways to help clients move beyond intellectual understanding to felt experience.
Based on many years of experience with Clean Language, embodiment and bodywork, we've spent the last three years developing this approach. It's designed to weave effortlessly into your existing coaching and therapy sessions, creating opportunities for deeper change while honoring your current way of working. This taster session introduces you to the basics, giving you useful tools and opening the door to deeper learning if you choose to continue.
