Celebrating 90 years of Cleethorpes' Royal Charter

Join us for a special afternoon celebrating Cleethorpes Charter Day, marking the granting of the town's Royal Charter in 1936.

The doors to Cleethorpes Town Hall will open from 1.00pm, giving visitors the opportunity to explore a selection of heritage displays and exhibitions before the main event begins at 2.30pm.

The afternoon programme includes:

• A welcome to Charter Day
• An illustrated talk by local historian Dianne Roberts exploring the story behind Cleethorpes' Royal Charter
• Musical entertainment, including performances by popular 1940s vocalist Sarah
• The premiere of Here By the Sea, I Think of Thee, a new song specially composed for Charter Day by local composer Stuart Wood
• Tea, coffee and cake

Whether you've lived in Cleethorpes all your life or have recently discovered our wonderful seaside town, this is an opportunity to celebrate the people, places and stories that continue to shape our community.
