We all remember the Canadian wildfires last year and how they impacted our air quality and sometimes limited our activities. This session will explore how the environment affects human health and health equity. Our speakers will address this topic from different viewpoints. We will explore how decarbonization in the built environment aligns with healthy building initiatives. We'll discuss our ability to be resilient in the face of the increasing number of severe climate events. There have been several studies that delve into how design and materials used in a building can have an effect on physical and mental health. Speakers will not only provide information on certifications that can assist in developing a plan to promote well-being in your building, but will also share best practices and case studies demonstrating that environmental health equals human health.
