Carrie-Lynn Grazette Cancer Foundation Of Atlanta, Inc.

This organization was founded with the primary purpose of providing young Barbadian children with cancer and their families with financial assistance. The organization was named in honor of Carrie-Lynn Grazette, our first donation recipient. Carrie-Lynn a teenager diagnosed with leukemia, is from St. Philip Barbados. Carrie-Lynn was a patient at St Jude Children's Research Hospital when we were introduced to her. A group of Barbadians living in Atlanta initially decided to organize a fundraiser to assist the Grazette family. The group sponsored the inaugural Barbados Day in Atlanta on Memorial Day weekend, 2015 as a fundraiser to bring awareness to our cause. Our donation was designed to provide additional assistance beyond what was provided by St Jude while the family was in Memphis TN. Encouraged by the success of the fundraising effort, The Carrie-Lynn Grazette Cancer Foundation of Atlanta, INC. was established. This foundation aims to identify children diagnosed with cancer, who live in Barbados, and to assist them financially. The organization is committed to providing hope to these children and their families as it assists them with finances needed for medical care and educates them about treatments and resources that may not be accessible to them in Barbados.

We look forward to partnering with other organizations, medical professionals, businesses, and individuals to raise funds to help young Barbadian children diagnosed with cancer and to raise cancer awareness.
