What China’s energy transition means for the rest of the world - and the UK.
with Dr Clare Richardson-Barlow, University of Leeds (pictured above).
''Greenhouse gas emissions from the UK are tiny compared to China and they are still building coal-fired power stations''. We often hear this, with the implication that China is not doing enough to tackle climate change. Is it true? And should the UK engage with China to help shape a global transition?
Clare is perfectly placed to address these questions. She is Lecturer in the Global Politics of China, specialising in just transitions and industrial decarbonisation. There will be ample time for questions and discussion afterwards.
