FREE online training enabling attendees to Carbon Literacy Project certification. There are 4 sessions in total: 02/09, 09/09, 16/09 and 23/09, 7pm-9pm. Links to join sessions 2-4 will be shared after session 1.
This is a 4-week course accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project; after completing the equivalent of one day's worth of training and committing to carbon-reducing actions, you will be deemed Carbon Literate and possess a certificate to prove it.
Carbon Literacy is defined as:
‘An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.’
The training will help you to better understand how climate change will affect us in different ways, how you can reduce your personal footprint, and will give you the confidence to talk about it. Talking about climate change is one of the most impactful things you can do when it comes to tackling it!
Our course is run by Clare Slater and Alexina Cassidy, members of the CA-WN Steering Committee. Both have experience running Carbon Literacy Courses and Alexina is an approved Carbon Literacy Project Facilitator.
We are providing the training on a not-for-profit basis, so the cost will be £10 per person, which is passed straight through to the Carbon Literacy Trust to pay for your certificate.
