Difficult questions call: climate vs polycrisis?

Some questions in the climate space are hard for a reason — they touch on real tensions, genuine disagreements, and unresolvable ambiguities. An answer that is satisfying to most can easily alienate vital members of a coalition.

The Climate Majority Project is continuing its tradition of convening a small, carefully selected group to work through one of thiose together:

- How should climate action evolve in a world increasingly understood as a polycrisis — and what might be gained or lost by shifting focus from climate breakdown alone to the wider set of interconnected challenges shaping people’s lives?

This isn't a panel or a lecture. It's a structured dialogue, facilitated to be pragmatic and grounded, with the aim of reaching statements that have meaning and integrity and appeal to a broad, concerned audience. Previous sessions have explored green growth, geoengineering, the role of tech in transition, and electoral politics.

Format: Plenary or breakout rooms of 6–8, depending on attendance. Chaired by a facilitator. Participants take collaborative notes.
