Join us for the fifth edition of the Lambeth Climate Partnership's Quick Fire Talks series! This will be our last talk of the season, and we will also kick-off the London Climate Action Week celebrations, starting the following Saturday!
This event, "Adapting to a Changing Climate," will feature short presentations and networking opportunities designed to provide insights and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among Lambeth businesses.
Event Highlights:
- 5–5.30 PM Welcome: Start the morning with a 30-minute networking session with refreshments to connect with fellow attendees.
- 5.30–6.30 PM Presentations and Q&A:
- Dee Halligan, Founding Director at Forth, on soft skills needed for climate action
- Emily Iveson-Pritchard, Head of Sustainability at Kia Oval, on adapting a sports venue to extreme weather
- Alexander (Gus) Fordyce, Principal Consultant at Biodiversify, on supply chains and adapting to a changed climate
- Matthew Panou, Flood Risk and Climate Change Adaptation Manager at Lambeth Council, on sustainable drainage systems in Lambeth
- Cllr Rezina Chowdhury, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Lambeth and Clean Air at Lambeth Council, to discuss the learnings from the last few months of the LCP Business Network, what we will be learning over the summer, and what to expect in the coming months.
- 6.30–7 PM Networking: Continue the conversation and build connections during the networking session.
- 7PM onwards: Join us on a walk next door to see Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems in place, and join us at the pub next door if you would like to continue the conversation!
